It was definitely Spider-Man 2.
People love it for the same reason they love Arkham Asylum: it really makes you feel like the title character. Swinging ridiculously fast through Times Square, running across the sides of buildings, launching yourself with web-catapults...it was mind-blowing at the time, and I think it still is, really.
Damn, man, I suddenly really want a new Spider-Man game! Why can't they get it right anymore?
OOPS
Whenever someone goes off over how offended they are, I think of this...
Alright Patrick Bateman, turn down Huey Lewis and the News and take off the raincoat...no need to get angry.
It's not all that bad. Save that venom for the never-ending top 10 lists - that shit's usually bottom of the barrel.
I think you're holding N4G to a standard that's way too high. It's not the Washington Post, it's a collection of blog entries for shits and giggles.
I agree with the author somewhat. How many times can they keep selling the same game? I think this version of Resident Evil 4 is a re-re-re-re-release.
And by putting dollar bills in their thongs...the ultimate show of respect.
No crazy man shouting "FINISH HIM," nothing over-the-top like bashing someone's head into an oncoming subway train...just a regular move that happens to kill the other guy? Sounds like the anti-MK.
I think the new game is plenty shocking. Noob Saibot's fatality made me feel a little sick.
This article sucked, but I did chuckle when the author mentioned how Duke gave him a "nostalgic tug," so I guess it wasn't completely worthless.
Run and tell THAT...homeboy
Sweet! Now somebody needs to make me a GERTY...
I don't see them giving this away when they could be making money.
I just watched Sub-Zero freeze Superman and smash him into a hundred pieces on youtube. I'd put money on him.
I think the x-ray moves are an homage to the Sonny Chiba movie "The Street Fighter" - no relation to the game.
See for yourself at 1:43 in the video...
"The game is rated Mature in the US, which means it’s not suitable for a 14 year old to be playing."
The online pass thing is ridiculous. If you're going to try to lower your game's resale value, I'm not buying it - new or used.
I feel sort of the same way about digital distribution. If I can't put a game on eBay, I'm going to be much more careful about what I buy.
I like how they skipped part two and went straight to the...zero-twelfth?
You should really experiment more with this game before you give up on it.
I've been waiting for someone to use that headline. Well played, my man!
Or you could wait a few weeks (or ONE DAY) and save lots of money.
"Treyarch stepped up to the plate and delivered a homerun with Spider-Man 2. Possibly the first movie-to-video game adaptation not to suck."
There aren't a ton of great movie-games out there, but SWEET JESUS how could you forget about this one?
